Requirements

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience assembling copper bus or similar conductive materials in a manufacturing or industrial environment; experience with high-voltage or electrical distribution systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in production processes, quality control standards, and mechanical assembly, with a strong understanding of manufacturing best practices and safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset; ability to identify assembly defects, inconsistencies, or material issues and take corrective action.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and specialized assembly tools; ability to properly maintain and inspect tools and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of workplace safety standards, including PPE requirements and OSHA compliance, particularly in an electrical or mechanical manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate issues to supervisors clearly.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet production deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to take measurements and perform calculations relevant to assembly specifications.
  • High School Diploma or GED, Required

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install copper bus and conductive materials into electrical enclosures according to engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Execute complex assemblies with precision, ensuring projects meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, offering guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members.
  • Apply manufacturing expertise to interpret specifications, identify errors, and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including Engineering Corrective Reports, Non-Conformance Reports, and Material Transfer Requests.
