About The Position

Assemblers are an essential part of Enerpac’s manufacturing operations, responsible for building high-quality hydraulic tools, pumps, and components that meet our performance and safety standards. This role assembles mechanical and sub-assembly components, performs product testing using defined procedures, conducts quality inspections, troubleshoots issues, maintains accurate inventory transactions, and supports continuous improvement within the production area. Assemblers also help sustain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment by following standardized work instructions, 5S practices, and safety protocols.

  • Strong attention to detail to deliver high-quality assembled products.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills; willingness to train others.
  • Logical reasoning skills for test interpretation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and light power tools.
  • Ability to work from mechanical drawings and basic blueprints.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, structured manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Low to moderate degree of mechanical, technical, and/or analytic knowledge and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly experience preferred; Candidates with strong work ethic and willingness to learn will be considered.
  • Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assemble pumps, industrial tools, and hydraulic components following work instructions and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Prepare mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components using hand tools and light power tools (e.g., torque wrench).
  • Recommend updates to work instructions or BOMs to improve accuracy and repeatability.
  • Perform product and component testing per defined procedures.
  • Operate test stands to ensure products are assembled and functioning correctly.
  • Troubleshoot assembly or test failures to support quality and production flow.
  • Conduct quality inspections of parts and products throughout the assembly process.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and data entry to ensure materials and components remain correctly transacted.
  • Cross-train team members on cells or product lines they have not yet worked in.
  • Share expertise in areas where the employee is already proficient.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and performance goals.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S techniques.
  • Follow all safety rules for the production floor and work cells.
  • Wear required PPE and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs
