The activities in this position can have different focuses: human rights, environment, responsible material sourcing (e.g., value stream mapping, sub-tier supplier risk management, battery material due diligence), responsible and lawful business practices. The position has the global lead for the defined area of responsibility and is responsible for the development and implementation of overarching sustainability strategies (e.g. strategy development for the procurement of sustainable raw materials), processes, compliance activities, purchasing standards and conditions in the supply base, taking into account the respective regional objectives and laws (e.g. Supply Chain Act). Global contact for the defined area of responsibility and for all specific requests. What you'll do... Responsible for tracking, evaluating and interpreting legal and internal requirements for the defined area of responsibility on a global scale. Identify potential risks and impacts on Ford Motor Company. Consideration of all aspects of the analysis and interpretation of laws and jurisdictions to develop optimal solutions for Ford to implement the requirements. Preparation of global procedural instructions and training documents to ensure the implementation of laws and internal requirements. Planning and implementation of measures to convey legal and internal requirements for the defined area of responsibility on a global level. Development and implementation of training/information for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. purchasing team, suppliers). Engage with cross-functional teams to develop and support aligned strategies and workstreams. Creation and implementation of programs for the area of responsibility (e.g. environmental protection programs in the context of material procurement). Create and update internal process documentation and supplier policies annually. Determination of content and organization of working groups on topics for the defined area of responsibility as well as participation in global working groups, if necessary, leadership of working groups. Advice on the implementation of processes. Align goals with management for the assigned Ford sites (global). Identification, assessment, evaluation, and prioritization of risks (e.g. on the basis of data from the SAQs). Based on the results of the risk analysis, development of preventive measures and risk mitigation measures in consultation with supervisors. Development of global procurement strategies and purchasing standards to prevent or minimize risks. Coordination and implementation of control measures during assessments, such as compliance with human rights strategies at the supplier.
