About The Position

Bus Aide 2025-2026 School Year 4-6 hours/10 months Bus Aide Duties The bus aide works in cooperation with the bus driver and education service providers to support the safe and efficient transportation of special education students, and students assigned to attend alternative school locations. For a complete description of duties and qualifications, please go to: South Lane School District Website Qualifications Knowledge of safety guidelines and behavioral expectations to support the safe and efficient transportation of students, experience or ability to work with special education, “at risk” and behavior challenged students and assure the safe and timely transportation of such students to and from educational assignments. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge, skills and experience working with students who have learning or behavior disabilities. Must be able to obtain a first aid card. ( There will be a $82.50 charge for the criminal history verification conducted by the Oregon Department of Education payable to South Lane School District. Note: South Lane School District does not gain any revenue from this process.) Salary $16.74 - $21.85 Depending on experience level and placement on the scale.
