About The Position

Production / Burrito Roller is responsible for the day-to-day production duties as assigned. You will be responsible for understanding, reading, completion and adherence to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), in addition to all other food safety/quality assurance audits to meet government/third-party auditors, company regulations, including but not limited to FDA and USDA. Good hand-eye coordination and upper extremity motor skills are essential for most job tasks. Additional essential functions/abilities may be applicable to specific jobs.

Requirements

  • Good communication and training skills
  • Good basic math aptitude and ability to use scales and calculators.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • Must be available to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing
  • Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Set up and Shut down of production line
  • Tortilla separation and assemble according to specifications
  • Manually roll product according to specifications
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that assembled products meet quality standards
  • Identify any product defects; record and report them accordingly.
  • Inspect for and ensure product quality at all process levels
  • Fix and or report issues that might occur during the shift immediately without hesitation
  • Adhere to and facilitate all production room policies and procedures
  • Being able to understand and follow oral and written instruction from supervisors and designated staff.
  • Understand and follow all department SOP’s (Site Operating Procedures) and USDA Regulations
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms
  • Stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 10-hour shift
  • Work in cold areas (approximately 40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 70 degrees)
  • Work in an environment that is wet and humid
  • Work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift
  • This work is physically demanding and can require the use of some or all body parts and muscle groups.
  • Additional essential responsibilities may be applicable to specific jobs.
  • Assemble raw materials into production machinery
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
