About The Position

This position is responsible for performing journeyman level electrical work. Must have the knowledge to build and maintain electrical services. Read and understand electrical blueprints. Able to use hand tools. (Screwdrivers, meters, wrenches, drills, side cutters, etc.) Understand N.E.C. standards, (National Electrical Code). Able to climb ladders and perform work from heights. Complete daily work order reports and other related paperwork. Prepare estimates on time and materials required for a job. Able to operate bucket truck. To perform maintenance and electrical upgrades to all city facilities. Must be able to obtain and maintain, a Texas Master License. Work the assigned schedule and comply with City timekeeping and attendance policy. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Follow all city safety guidelines. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years' experience in the electrical trade
  • Possess a current Texas Journeyman License
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
