JLL Facility Maintenance Technician - Life Sciences Facility – JLL What this job involves: The Facility Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on critical life sciences facility systems, ensuring optimal operational performance, regulatory compliance, and safety standards. This role requires technical knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations and other disciplines to support mission-critical research and manufacturing operations within a highly regulated environment. You will be responsible for maintaining facility equipment including HVAC systems, laboratory equipment, clean utilities, and facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, and other relevant regulatory requirements. What your day-to-day will look like: • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment including HVAC systems, laboratory equipment, clean utilities (purified water, compressed air), and facility infrastructure(Boilers and Chillers) • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to maintain applicable standards • Monitor and maintain environmental control systems including temperature, humidity, air pressure differentials, and air quality parameters essential for life sciences operations • Execute corrective maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime while ensuring work is accomplished with minimum disruption to client operations • Manage facility services including preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance activities • Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical system failures and emergency situations, coordinating with operations teams to minimize impact on production schedules • Review monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems
