Building Service Technician I (Clay Center, NE)
About The Position
The U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) is a 34,000-acre facility near Clay Center, NE. All work performed at USMARC supports research that is focused on solving high priority problems for the U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries. As a Building Service Technician I, you will: Assist with all phases of general and aesthetic maintenance of buildings, e.g. general maintenance of buildings, carpentry, painting, and general repair. Complete work orders as assigned by supervisor and manage in MP system. Coordinate assignments with other personnel as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Report the need for further maintenance or any safety concerns to supervisor. Assist with oversight and monitoring of HVAC systems and with the installation and maintenance of equipment. Assist in campus snow removal. Ensure the proper use and functioning of tools and equipment. Practice preventive maintenance. Assist with the repair and changing of locks. Perform other duties as assigned such as assisting with pest control, mowing, or landscaping. Please note: Sponsorship will not be offered for this position.
