About The Position

We are seeking a Building Operations Technician III (2nd Shift) to join our Building Operations team. In this role, you will perform lab equipment installations and equipment maintenance for all Regeneron owned & managed equipment within our vivarium and R&pD labs. This shift offers a 10% pay differential, full benefits and on the job training & career development. As a Building Operations Technician III, a typical day might include: Supporting critical lab equipment by troubleshooting and repairing specialty systems such as Autoclaves/ Sterilizers, Industrial tunnel and cage washers, Liquid nitrogen freezers, CO₂ incubators, Clean steam generators, Reverse osmosis and deionized water systems Responding to equipment and site emergencies, including 24/7 on-call support Collaborating with outside contractors and building management on repairs and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within restricted laboratories Monitoring and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance of R&D labs and animal care facilities Responding to Dickson, Rees, Watchdog EX, and other BMS Environmental Monitoring Systems alarms Installing new lab equipment and using building systems to monitor performance Participating in AAALAC and IACUC inspections and ensuring compliance with their standards

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and at least 4 years of relevant technical building operations experience; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • A valid driver's license recognized by New York State
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Strong experience with electrical and mechanical systems, including: Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Working with 3-phase motors, large pumps, and steam systems for heating water and air-handling units
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings using ANSI and IEC standards
