Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • At least two years of experience in commercial and residential roofing, including sales experience in the building materials distribution industry
  • Proven success in selling roofing products to local contractors, with expertise in residential roofing, siding, and windows (vinyl and wood)
  • Proficiency in Mincron operating system or ability to learn new software, along with strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and the Internet
  • Self-motivation with a passion for business growth, strong organizational skills, and a keen ability to analyze and solve problems
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Provide exceptional service through effective communication and problem-solving
  • Maintain strong product knowledge to assist customers accurately
  • Gather contact information for deliveries and billing to ensure smooth transactions
  • Process orders, returns, and transfers while offering product recommendations
  • Promote bulk purchasing and inform customers of special promotions and sales events
  • Keep the Credit Department informed of customer concerns and competitive insights
  • Encourage new customers to complete credit applications for purchasing flexibility
  • Process customer payments following company protocols for accurate transactions
