JOB TITLE: Building Materials Specialist REPORTING TO: Building Materials Location Manager JOB LOCATION: Montrose, Colorado (On-Site and In-Person) SALARY: $58,757 - 71,000 FUNCTION: The Building Materials Specialist provides internal sales support and exceptional service to current and potential customers.

Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills
  • Ability to review and analyze detailed information
  • Robust information and task management skills
  • Possesses a detailed knowledge of Sunpro products, processes, and relevant production capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, construction, or related
  • Consistent history of exceptional professional progress and performance
  • Mostly sedentary work: extended periods of sitting
  • Regular, but short periods of bending, standing, or lifting
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly from floor to waist height.
  • Occasionally lift up to 75-100 pounds with assistance.
  • Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds overhead.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment
  • Periods of standing at a counter and walking around the building

Responsibilities

  • Visualizes, defines, communicates, and implements the company vision and core values
  • Provides effective administrative support to sales
  • Provides support to project estimators as needed
  • Enters customer orders/transactions in Bistrack and confirms that price, discount level and product requirements are correct
  • Assists walk-in customers by answering product/service questions and providing project solutions
  • Provides exceptional customer service and team support and product training
  • Accurately maintains customer records, ensuring that customer, prospect, and account information is correct
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.
  • Serves as a safety champion by adhering to all company safety policies and guidelines
  • Performs other duties as required
