Position Summary The Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer contributes a high level of functionality to both service and projects with responsibilities to over 100 buildings. Key responsibilities include utilizing Automated Logic Corporation (ALC) and Distech platforms for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex proprietary programs in existing systems.

Requirements

  • An Associates degree in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Formalized training in using ALC or Distech BMS software.
  • Minimum of five years of experience with BMS control systems, particularly ALC and Distech platforms.
  • Demonstrated capability to coordinate project schedule requirements with other service lines.
  • Proven ability in projecting budgets and scheduling needs for BMS service projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner effectively with team members.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, schedules, and technical tasks.
  • Ability to use personal computer applications including email, internet browsers, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Familiarity with both Chrome-based and Microsoft-based applications.
  • Familiarity with environmental management systems and CMMS computer systems.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leveraging Google Workspace applications.
  • Prior experience in critical facilities or commercial building operations.
  • Previous experience in BMS service environments.
  • Relevant industry certifications in building automation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process service tickets/work orders via systems such as Corrigo.
  • Perform reverse engineering, troubleshooting, and diagnosing of proprietary program defects, recommending and perfecting upon necessary corrective measures.
  • Maintain work and documentation control for BMS service and improvement projects.
  • Support the development of budgets and schedules for BMS service work on specific projects.
  • Lead complex projects that require team coordination.
  • Execute tasks within complex controlled environments while adhering to project mandates.
  • Collaborate with other BMS personnel and service team members.
