We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Director Global Category Management - Building Systems to lead procurement efforts for all non-mechanical and non-electrical systems in our data center construction and operational projects. This role will focus on the sourcing, negotiation, and delivery of critical infrastructure such as EPMS, BMS, security systems, fire protection systems, Networking equipment, and data hall fit-out components. The ideal candidate will be experienced in construction or data center projects and comfortable working cross-functionally with design, IT, security, and operations team.

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for all non-MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and equipment in data center builds.
  • Lead the end-to-end sourcing process including vendor qualification, RFQs, technical and commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, IT, operations, and construction teams to align procurement timelines with project milestones.
  • Manage supplier onboarding, qualification, and new product development processes.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods in accordance with technical specs and quality standards.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure performance, service-level adherence, and ongoing cost optimization.
  • Track procurement KPIs such as lead times, savings, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Maintain full compliance with internal procurement processes, ESG standards, and data center industry best practices
  • Conduct industry analysis and supply base assessments to evaluate supplier capacity and capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of procurement experience, preferably in data centers, construction, or infrastructure development.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-category procurement portfolios.
  • Familiarity with data center systems such as BMS, DCIM, fire protection, and security platforms.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, large-scale infrastructure or data center projects.
  • Proven track record in global procurement and supplier relationship management
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management tools, data analytics, and BI tools
  • Excellent project management, contract management, change management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of sustainability and social responsibility in supply chain
  • Integrity and Ethical Standards: Build trust, ensure fairness, and foster long-term, transparent relationships with suppliers.
  • Effective Communication: The ability to clearly convey expectations and requirements to suppliers and negotiation parties, while understanding their needs and concerns. Comfortable delivering written and verbal presentations to internal leadership teams.

  • MBA, MS in Supply Chain or advanced degree in engineering or other quantitative disciplines
  • Experience in data center industry, an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or Six Sigma Black Belt
