What this job involves: The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Partners with Team Members and Mobile Engineers in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including HVAC units, Boilers, Cooling Towers, walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. What your day to day will look like: Repair and replace damaged brick, block, and stonework on building exteriors and interiors Mix and apply mortar for pointing, repointing, and tuckpointing of masonry joints Repair concrete sidewalks, steps, loading docks, and building foundations Patch and seal cracks in concrete and masonry surfaces to prevent water infiltration Install and repair concrete curbing, retaining walls, and decorative stone features Perform caulking and waterproofing of masonry structures and building envelope Clean and restore masonry surfaces using pressure washing and chemical cleaning methods Apply protective coatings and sealers to extend the life of masonry structures Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and other components. Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations. General maintenance and repair duties for interior spaces Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested Replace lighting and ballasts Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts. Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed and update work orders in real time. All other duties and tasks assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
  • Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders.
  • Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
  • Understanding of building envelopes and waterproofing principles
  • Ability to match existing masonry materials and finishes
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Masonry and concrete repair experience preferred
  • Experience with masonry tools including trowels, chisels, hammers, and cutting equipment
