About The Position

At MEDITECH, we take a lot of pride in our beautiful offices. The primary role of this position is to assist with many various and critical facility management duties. Building Maintenance & Operations Specialists are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of MEDITECH buildings and grounds. As a member of the General and Administrative team, your job would involve: Performing preventative maintenance, utilizing hand tools, power tools, ladders, chemicals, motorized equipment, lifts, etc. Repairing and troubleshooting a variety of facility systems including; mechanical systems, plumbing and electrical systems, energy management/card access, fire alarm systems, and other general facility systems, acknowledging and following the proper use and safety procedures of all equipment (including chemicals) that are owned by MEDITECH Day to day project work Electrical and plumbing Housekeeping General facility maintenance Conference/training room setup General facility security Phone, data, PC and network troubleshooting Purchasing, shipping and receiving activities Snow removal Providing and maintaining building security Providing assistance to Corporate Solutions as needed Ability to work overtime and holidays

Requirements

  • Possession of a trade license(s) preferred, high school degree, associate degree, or applicable work experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Handy person experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to troubleshoot in many different areas
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to provide on-call support
  • Ability to frequently move various pieces of equipment weighing anywhere from 50 pounds up to a couple of hundred pounds
  • Ability to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl
  • General knowledge of PC and e-mail functions.
