Building Maintenance/Janitor Job Summary: The primary function of the Building Maintenance/Janitor is the general maintenance and cleaning of Building and outside lot.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Clearly legible handwriting.
Experience in Janitorial and general maintenance work.

Responsibilities

Clean all exposed filing cabinets, bookcases, shelves
Clean and sanitize telephones
Clean and sanitize desk tops
Clean reception lobby
Empty all waste receptacles & replace liners as needed including shop.
Vacuum all carpeted areas
Clean, sanitize, polish all vitreous fixtures
Clean all glass and mirrors
Refill all dispensers to normal limits
Sweep, damp mop, and sanitize hard floor
Clean and sanitize all sinks and sink fixtures
Clean popcorn machine
Remove dust and cobwebs from ceiling areas and window seals
Keep both kitchens clean including microwaves and coffee pots
Once a month clean exterior and interior windows
Mow lawn when needed (weekly minimum during growing season)
Maintain/trim landscape bushes and shrubs as needed (minimum twice per year)
Pressure wash building as needed
Building maintenance as needed (light bulbs, paint touch ups, etc.)
Keep parking area and landscaping free of debris
Buffing and Waxing all floors minimum twice per year.
When not cleaning, maintenance person will be back up for the shipping and receiving department as well as running errands for the Service Department
