About The Position

Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys variety in your day, including everything from wiring and plumbing to carpentry and preventative maintenance? Helget Gas Products is hiring a Building Maintenance & Handyman Technician to help keep our Omaha facilities running smoothly and safely. If you have certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work, you'll be eligible for premium pay. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing key building systems, including HVAC units, water pumps, plumbing lines, and electrical components. You'll create and follow preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshoot problems as they arise, and either make repairs yourself or coordinate with contractors. On any given day, you could be tackling an electrical issue, assisting with a remodel, repairing a plumbing leak, or updating maintenance records to support compliance with codes and regulations. We're looking for someone who's safety-minded, self-directed, and confident handling a wide range of building maintenance tasks. You'll also act as a backup to our Facilities & Equipment Manager and respond to urgent issues when needed. Why Work at Helget Gas Products? Requirements

  • Safety-minded
  • Self-directed
  • Confident handling a wide range of building maintenance tasks

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC license, plumbing license, or journeyman electrician card
  • Hands-on experience with construction, carpentry, or remodeling
  • Familiarity with building, fire, and electrical codes
  • Knowledge of AC/DC voltages and 3-phase power
  • A strong understanding of safety practices in maintenance work
