About The Position

We are currently seeking a Drafter to join our team, supporting engineering and construction efforts by preparing basic to moderately complex drawings and intelligent models under direct supervision-this position may be based at any CDM Smith office. Under direct supervision, prepares basic to moderately complex engineering and construction drawings derived from intelligent models and/or CADD, which include: general arrangement drawing, overall layouts, conceptual drawings, rough sketches, general engineering and design information. Utilizes information from vendors, catalogs, technical manuals, etc. in the preparation of intelligent models and construction drawings. Performs related fundamental technical support tasks such as verifying intelligent model integrity, plotting drawings, preparing transmittals, preparing overnight packages, file management and/or filing prints, distributing drawings, and making simple calculations. Performs other duties as required. Supports field assignments as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 6 years of relevant experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
