About The Position

The Building HVAC Technician is responsible for assisting building operations and repairs. Conducts equipment mechanical evaluations. Repairs or replaces building parts and responds to service requests. Conducts preventive maintenance. Ensures building programming is functioning. Evaluates reports and paperwork. SCHEDULE: Please note this position has a 4-day work week, Monday-Thursday with occasional Fridays, evenings, and weekend shifts determined by business need. COMPENSATION: Hiring Range: $29.76 – $37.20 USD Hourly Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills. Requirements

  • 3 years of HVAC or work-related experience.
  • Criminal History and MVR Background Checks are required for every position.
  • A valid Colorado driver’s license is required for positions that drive on County Business in either a county or personal vehicle within 30-days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer.
  • This position will require CJIS (Criminal Justice Information System) Clearance prior to employment, training upon hire, and maintained indefinitely.
  • Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of criminal history background check, motor vehicle report, education verification, and/or references.
  • Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license upon hire for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) Certification-Universal Class.
  • Stationary Engineer License.
  • DDC controls experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and inspects assigned heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment to determine operating status and effect repairs as required.
  • Provides recommendations regarding equipment upgrades.
  • Maintains and repairs commercial food service equipment.
  • Replaces and repairs plumbing equipment.
  • Provides cost analysis figures for equipment repair.
  • Updates and maintains databases and files.
  • This position requires after hours on call for emergencies such as snow removal or other situations that call for essential personnel.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
