About The Position

Acuity is seeking a Building & Grounds Intern to assist with building and
grounds maintenance for Acuity properties.

Requirements

• High School diploma preferred.
• Building and landscape maintenance experience preferred.
• Takes initiative.
• Understands instruction, asks questions, and receives feedback.
• Willingness to work outdoors in any type of weather.
• Possesses a record of safe work habits.
• Drivers License, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general building maintenance / custodial tasks including cleaning, painting, and preventative maintenance.
• Maintains grounds including mowing, fertilizing, watering, turf repair, mulching, and pruning.
• Plants, fertilizes, weeds and waters annual flowers.
• Performs landscape construction projects including planting and transplanting trees, shrubs, and perennials.
• Cleans and places interior silk plants and galleria displays.
• Shovels snow.
• Sets up and takes down special events including the Acuity Health Challenge, Acuity FunFest and Town Hall venues.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
