About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Building Envelope Project Manager / Engineer to lead façade rehabilitation and structural restoration projects for commercial and institutional buildings. This position focuses on evaluating building exteriors, designing repair solutions, and overseeing construction phases to ensure long-term building performance. The role requires a strong background in civil or structural engineering, along with practical experience in building envelope investigations, restoration design, and construction administration. The successful candidate will work closely with property owners, contractors, and internal teams to deliver technically sound solutions for exterior building systems. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who enjoys combining field investigations, technical design work, and project management responsibilities within a specialized consulting environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building envelope consulting, restoration engineering, or structural rehabilitation
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification required; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
  • Demonstrated experience preparing construction drawings, specifications, and bid packages
  • Experience supporting forensic investigations, evaluation studies, restoration design, and construction administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in professional American English
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work full-time onsite Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Manage building envelope and structural restoration projects from initial evaluation through final project completion
  • Perform site inspections, façade assessments, and building condition surveys
  • Conduct forensic investigations to identify structural deterioration, water infiltration, and envelope performance issues
  • Develop repair design drawings, construction specifications, and bid documentation
  • Support the bidding process by assisting with contractor coordination and technical clarifications
  • Provide construction administration services, including site visits, submittal review, and field observation reports
  • Evaluate façade systems, waterproofing assemblies, and exterior structural components
  • Prepare clear technical reports outlining findings, repair strategies, and recommendations
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and internal project teams to maintain project quality and timelines
