AECOM is seeking a Building Efficiency Technical Lead to join our National Energy Transition Team. This highly-collaborative, multi-disciplinary team provides building assessment and advisory services to clients striving to realize more efficient, lower cost, more sustainable, and more resilient operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in the development of building, campus, and portfolio-wide building energy assessments and decarbonization strategies. The role is primarily technical in nature, with a focus on building systems feasibility analysis and concept design. The types of strategies being assessed range from control optimization to building retrofits to centralized thermal energy systems and microgrids. The varied nature of our work must be reflected in our team's expertise and skills; as such we seek applicants with a solid understanding of the principles of high performance building design for both buildings and campus- or campus-level energy infrastructure, and power generation. A high-level working knowledge of these systems and a propensity for creative problem-solving is therefore critical. The ability to develop and communicate ideas clearly will be seen as a significant strength in any potential candidate. This is a role for someone who shares our passion for building efficiency and decarbonization and wants to scale up and diversify their contribution to this transition. Our team is constantly growing, and this role provides a unique opportunity to influence the industry and shape a team to deliver decarbonization work for the future.
