About The Position

Select the following link to view full job description: Building Custodian Assistant, Seasonal The Park Ridge Park District is hiring a Seasonal Building Custodian to perform various physical custodial and maintenance tasks at the Maine Park Campus. Duties include basic custodial care and cleaning/disinfecting/maintenance of the buildings assigned to which includes classrooms, gymnasium, kitchen, restrooms and other public areas of the facility. Sets up equipment for daily building activities such as chairs, tables, mats, sporting equipment etc. Ensures the facility is clean and presented in accordance with the Districts’ high standards. Immediately reports any identified areas of hazard, or items needing repair to Supervisor. This position regularly has contact with the general public and Park District staff; excellent customer service skills are required. Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a basic level of verbal and written English language and computer skills for the purpose of report writing/reading. Selected candidate needs to be a minimum of 18 years of age in order to operate power equipment. Must be able to regularly lift objects up to 50 pounds; due to the lifting requirement, selected individuals will be required to take a post-offer back assessment/lift test. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License in order to perform as a District driver. Must be CPR/AED certified or able to certify within 90 days of hire. Availability: We are seeking a candidate to work afternoons through early evenings starting in early May through the end of August 2026 for approximately 10 to 25 hours per week. Schedule may include evenings, early mornings and weekends, based on facility needs. Requirements

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
