About The Position

Chief Buildings is currently seeking a Building Cost Estimator to join the Chief team. This position will be responsible for processing quote requests and provide costs to the customer in a timely and accurate manner. They are responsible for confirming all products to be supplied by Chief .

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or GED, required.
• Metal Building experience preferred .

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business , Construction Management, or Engineering preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and establish the construction approach for each project.
• Create accurate quote confirmation that defines what we are supplying.
• Process building estimates and components in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain quote backlog, work at fast pace and help others when possible.
• Able to read architectural plan and specifications.
• Understand Chief Building’s product line and how to apply it into project quote.
• Review the Customer sketches verses the Quote Request form and question/clarify variances that may occur.
• Ability to create special pricing for conditions that are not covered by our standard pricing programs.
• Help the Builders or District Managers with preliminary project layout to lead them towards the most economical and efficient design.
• Working knowledge of design programs to get best pricing.
• Process changes order pricing in a timely manner .
