About The Position

POSITION PURPOSE: To assist the Building Official and Facilities Manager. This part-time consultant role offers flexible hours and provides assistance and mentorship within the Building Department, helping to train staff and provide insight from prior experience. This position will work as needed by the department. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list is not to be treated as all inclusive.

Requirements

  • City Budgeting
  • Bench Marking
  • BS&A
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal building department, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably as a Building Official, or in a related capacity.
  • A combination of relevant work and education experience will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Advise and assist in the Budget process
  • Assist and provide guidance with all Building department matters and procedures
  • Assist with Zoning procedures
  • Assist with BS&A programing
