About The Position

This full-time, on-campus faculty position in the Building Construction Technology department will begin with the Fall 2026 semester. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a combination of day, evening, and online courses. Teaching load is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which currently requires a workload of 25 contact hours. In addition to teaching, the faculty member will actively contribute to curriculum development and will also provide academic advising to students.

Requirements

  • An associate degree or demonstrated equivalent work history
  • 5+ years commercial, light commercial and/or residential work experience
  • Understanding of building science principles
  • Working knowledge of ICC codes
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as the ability to read and interpret construction documents

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience teaching in a community college or career technical center environment
  • Building Analyst Certified Technician or Building Analyst Certified Professional
  • OSHA 10 in Construction Instructor certified
