About The Position

Assist Director of Facilities in running the daily operations of the building Sub at the Elementary building as needed. Work in/coordinate lunchroom activities Receive shipments and facilitate distribution Assist staff with event setup and tear down Snow removal/cleanup as needed at building access points Perform minor repairs as needed Report supply needs to Facilities Director Report needed repair requests to Facilities Director Perform light custodial duties as needed Re-supply paper products as needed throughout the day Perform cleanups as needed Cleanup trash outside as needed Must be able to stand, climb ladders and perform general duties all over campus Typical day will involve several miles of walking Must be able to lift, up to 50 pounds Position includes building relationships with students and staff Assist with safety drills as needed The position is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks
  • Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to use outdoor and indoor cleaning equipment
  • Ability to report to work outside of school opening hours
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability in reporting to work as scheduled
  • Knowledge of cleaning up and disposal of hazardous and bio-hazardous materials
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to perform simple electrical and plumbing repairs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an urban setting is a plus
