Summary This person is directly involved in maintaining the facility in a clean and safe work environment. This position will be handling maintenance and construction activities as needed, but not limited to: flooring, painting, plumbing, pm inspections, unload deliveries with forklift and other related duties as required. This associate will be responsible for documenting daily work activities and reporting deficiencies found during the work day. Associate may be utilized on an as needed basis to help maintain the facilities grounds including but not limited to; mowing, sweeping, trash pickup and weed trimming. This position has a base rate of $16-$22.00 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Requirements

  • Worked a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years.
  • Must be able to operate hand tools in a safe manner including hammers, screwdrivers, ratchets, hoists, etc. (Power and specialized tools shall be available to use by company).
  • Must be detail oriented and proficient with basic math skills to include having the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to recognize and maintain confidentiality as it pertains to our customers.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have good organizational skills with the ability to Multitask.
  • Must have the ability to perform all job duties in a safe manner utilizing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Valid State of Delaware driver's license and ability to obtain a Perdue Forklift license within one week of being hired.
  • The qualified candidate will have at least six months of service in his/her present position, two or less unexcused absences and zero active disciplinary warnings.
  • Strong reading, math, writing and comprehensive skills are required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works at various stations along the production line processing poultry food products.
  • Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment.
  • Participates in Company and department safety programs.
  • Documenting daily work activities and reporting deficiencies found during the work day
  • Handling maintenance and construction activities as needed, but not limited to: flooring, painting, plumbing, pm inspections, unload deliveries with forklift and other related duties as required
