About The Position

Transdev in Colorado Springs is hiring a Building and Grounds / Janitorial position This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly facilities and grounds through daily cleaning, minor maintenance, and seasonal upkeep. We are seeking detail-oriented professionals who take pride in their work and are dedicated to safety and quality. Application Deadline: 12/31/2025— or until the position is filled. Transdev is proud to offer: (Non-CBA Position) Starting pay $14.25 hr. - $17.75 Benefits include : Vacation: minimum of 80 hours Sick days: 48 hours Holidays: 64 hours; 32 floating Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Minimum of six (6) months of janitorial, custodial, and building maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to read and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-50% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Stand for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming
  • Gather and empty trash
  • Service, clean, and restock restrooms
  • Clean and polish furniture, walls, machines, fixtures, windows, glass, and mirrors
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as needed
  • Clean up spills around shop and grounds, such as oil and other fluids
  • Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas using snowplows, snow blowers, or shovels; apply de-icing materials as needed
  • Perform monthly facility inspections and daily forklift inspections
  • Ability to perform minor facility repairs
  • Notify management of major repairs or maintenance needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
