About The Position

Primarily in Shriver Center and Events, Custodial Services, performs a variety of tasks related to maintaining the University's buildings, facilities, and grounds. Hours for this position are 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or GED
No experience required
May require driver's license
This position requires the ability to successfully pass a Post-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical
Knowledge of the use of either cleaning equipment/materials or lawn equipment/materials
Ability to understand and follow directions
A criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

Performs custodial and event setup duties
Picks up trash and/or litter from University buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles
May sweep and mop rooms and hallways; may dust and perform general cleaning of rooms; may clean windows
May vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; may clean and sanitize restrooms
May mow, trim, and rake grounds; may remove shrubs and trees
May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies
May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining hall dish room or pot and pan area
