About The Position

Kearney & Company is seeking a Budget Appropriations Support Senior Consultant to join our team! Duties include but are not limited to: Review and correct congressional correspondence packages Assist with the distribution and consolidation of RFIs from internal and external organizations Support the submission quality check process and coordinate with the agencies to resolve data discrepancies Support the collection and integration of financial data, including the data calls to collect such information, to include determining the appropriate analytic methods to develop reports and briefings Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Support the compilation of data and information for timely submission of congressional reports Provide analyses, products, and presentations to defend the Defense Department’s budget Overview Exclusively focused on the Government, Kearney & Company provides financial services, including auditing, consulting, and technology services. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable). Requirements

  • BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Willing to work onsite at the Pentagon daily
  • Must possess an active secret clearance
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to quickly deliver quality written products in constrained time periods
  • Must have outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across DoD
  • Demonstrate understanding of and experience with the congressional appropriations process
  • Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have the ability to quickly understand both business and technical concepts
  • Demonstrate experience translating business requirements into technical requirements
  • Demonstrate experience working directly with customers
  • Demonstrate customer service abilities
  • Demonstrate experience multi-tasking across multiple projects
  • Must have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers on various ad hoc requests

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience in translating stakeholder requirements into executable solutions
  • Experience with Congressional reporting requirements
  • Congressional staff experience, especially with appropriations
  • Experience with DoD organizational structure and correspondence processes
  • Master’s degree plus 10 years of experience
