We are looking for a Budget Analyst to join our team in the Financial Services Bureau supporting the Waste Management & Remediation Division. The Budget Analyst is responsible for preparing various financial reports to ensure the ongoing compliance of financial activities with associated funding regulations and accounting standards. This position assists fiscal leadership with oversight of all accounting and budgeting processes in the agency. Additionally, this position provides guidance to programs on best practices or procedures related to budgets. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a financial focus in accounting, public administration, business administration or another closely related field.
  • Five years of experience with budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets and general ledger entries that follow generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Experience working with databases, spreadsheets and the design and automation of accounting and reporting processes.
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
