About The Position

Assists in the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. Collect and prepare samples for various microbial, chemical, and molecular detection analyses using established procedures and techniques. Duties include evaluating and verifying sample results and data entry.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from a 4-year college (preferably in a science-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of basic laboratory techniques is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents in the English language, such as laboratory protocols, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to work as a team member and individually complete given tasks. Must be organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Aseptically collect and prepare samples for various microbial and chemical analyses.
• Perform laboratory analysis using established procedures and techniques. Including but not limited to ELISA, NIR, atomic absorption, and microbial plating.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze samples following molecular detection protocols.
• Evaluate and verify sample results and data entry.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards are maintained.
