East West Bank gives people the confidence to reach further. Overview We are currently seeking a BSA Manager. This position is responsible for the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the BSA and Anti-Money Laundering compliance program designed to ensure that the bank achieves optimum compliance with regulatory requirements through coordination and execution of financial crime risk controls while supporting the Bank’s adherence to regulatory requirements while enabling responsible business growth. The individual will be primarily responsible for ongoing management of our high-risk customer monitoring workflow to ensure production and quality objectives are met or exceeded and initiating process enhancements to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years extensive Banking experience and knowledge including but not limited to:
  • BSA/OFAC Compliance
  • Bank Regulatory Requirements
  • Internal/External Audits
  • Interaction with Bank Regulators
  • Risk Management
  • Branch Operations
  • Bank Policies and Procedures
  • Management of 15+ employees
  • Ability to provide professional and comprehensive documents/communications
  • Ability to determine priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to plan and manage the activities of the OFAC and CTR Teams, including administering goals, clearly defining expectations and monitoring progress
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent guidance and leadership to domestic and cross border Customer Risk Management (CRM) teams
  • Review, evaluate and provided guidance on escalated matters of potential AML or financial crime risk
  • Manage the review, approval and renewal of CTR exemptions for qualified customers
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) sent to first line business partners to ensure receipt of accurate and timely responses
  • Create/amend Policies and Procedures on a routine and as-needed basis
  • Assure Team adheres to policies and procedures
  • Prepare and conduct Staff meetings/trainings
  • Prepare and administer annual performance evaluations
  • May perform other duties as assigned
