About The Position

The Project Manager will oversee environmental site assessments, remediation efforts, redevelopment initiatives, and incentive programs. This role ensures alignment with regulatory standards, client expectations, and sustainability objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience; experience with redevelopment incentives preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Brownfield redevelopment and/or environmental remediation.
  • Proven expertise in Phase I and II environmental site assessments, remediation technologies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with grants and incentives within Brownfield Redevelopment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of Brownfield redevelopment projects, including assessment, remediation, design, and construction.
  • Advise clients and municipalities on available redevelopment incentives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations such as EPA, CERCLA, and state Brownfield programs.
  • Collaborate with developers, government agencies, community organizations, and environmental consultants.
  • Support and/or lead proposal development for new projects.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and maintain schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Define project scope, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Set project goals and contribute to quality assurance and control efforts.
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, planners, and contractors.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare billing documentation and manage outstanding receivables.
  • Identify opportunities for additional scope and revenue; participate in business development.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster strong client relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
