About The Position

Miller Poultry – Broiler Technician Job Purpose Supervise and work with a diverse group of contract broiler producers to ensure each flock is properly cared for in accordance with Miller Poultry’s management guidelines. Represent Miller Poultry in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous premise improvement.
  • Educate and train producers on poultry husbandry programs.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements of company programs.
  • Maintain flock records and documentation.
  • Conduct regular premise visits, record observations, recommendations, and communications in service reports.
  • Monitor flock health and coordinate corrective actions with growers.
  • Educate growers on biosecurity, farm safety, and recordkeeping.
  • Ensure continuous flock performance and compliance with animal welfare standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
  • Provide support and service to contract growers, act as liaison between growers and the organization.
  • Coordinate chick placement, catch times, and feed withdrawal schedules.
  • Evaluate grower performance and provide technical assistance.
  • Estimate weights and head counts.
  • Coordinate feed deliveries.
  • Collect blood samples and perform necropsies when necessary.
  • Manage manure and litter programs.
