About The Position

WWF seeks a BRIDGE Climate Communications Undergraduate Intern. This intern will learn how to be an effective, strategic climate communicator. They will gain experience across the marketing and communications landscape including, earned media, social media, creative support, thought leadership, and event planning. Through supporting the Senior Director of Climate Communications, this person will help position WWF within national and international climate dialogues, advance climate action through persuasive communications, and build bridges with other climate leaders and organizations.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s program in communications, marketing, sustainability, or public policy. Those studying outside these areas are still highly encouraged to apply. Must be an actively enrolled student and not received degree at time of internship start date (June 1, 2026).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor climate-related news and narratives.
  • Research storytelling trends and report out to climate team management.
  • Write social media copy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications departments on developing communications collateral (e.g. graphics, journalist backgrounders, web stories).
  • Maintain climate facts database. Assist in planning network wide events to occur during Climate Week NYC and COP31.
  • Turn climate team report findings into actionable messaging.
