Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board certification in General Surgery.
Completion of a Breast Surgery Fellowship (SSO-approved preferred).
Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and research.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Perform surgical procedures for breast diseases, including lumpectomies, mastectomies, and lymph node dissections.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care.
Educate patients and families on breast cancer diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery.
Participate in clinical research and contribute to academic publications.
Mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows in breast surgery.
Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to institutional and regulatory standards.
