DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix/Mesa is looking for a vibrant guest-oriented individual to join our morning team. The Breakfast Server sets the tone for our guests' day by providing intuitive customer service, while being friendly, courteous, and hospitable. From the warm smile you present while pouring their first cup of coffee to remembering how a guest likes their eggs, each and every interaction shows our guests why we are the best in the business. The Resident offers both buffet service as well as Ala carte options for travelers in order to meet each person's individual needs. As a Breakfast Server you will work with a dedicated team of professionals who strive to deliver the very best experience each and every time, by seating guests, taking orders, using the P.O.S. to communicate orders to the kitchen, delivering orders to the guest as well as other tasks needed to deliver a memorable experience to our guests each and every morning, and most importantly have fun while doing it. The Ideal candidate will: Have the ability to perform job function with attention to detail speed and accuracy

  • Possess a high School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
  • Must meet the legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and satisfactorily pass responsible serving course such as TIPs as required by property
  • Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state
  • Have the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm professional and hospitable manner
  • Possess understanding of hotel products and guest services
  • Be able to communicate professionally when answering phones and speaking with guests and team members
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a desire to be of service to others
  • Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Have the ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting adding subtracting multiplying and dividing
  • Have the ability to read comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and information provide back-up and support to other team members and respond to guests and co-workers in a positive and optimistic manner
