The Daily Docket Café is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Breakfast Prep Cook to support our morning service. This early-morning role is focused on preparing high-volume breakfast items—breakfast tacos, biscuit sandwiches, and sausage wraps—to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a consistent prep routine, works efficiently in the early hours, and takes pride in accuracy, food safety, and quality execution.

Requirements

• Previous breakfast or prep cook experience preferred
• Comfortable with early morning shifts
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Dependable, punctual, and team-focused
• Food Handler Certification

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast components for breakfast tacos, biscuit sandwiches, and sausage wraps according to recipe and portion standards
• Cook, portion, and hold eggs, proteins, and other breakfast items safely and efficiently
• Assemble and wrap breakfast items as required for hot holding or grab-and-go service
• Set up and stock the breakfast line prior to service start
• Ensure all hot and cold holding items remain within required temperature guidelines
• Label, date, rotate, and store all prepped items following food safety standards (FIFO)
• Maintain a clean and organized prep station, including equipment and utensils
• Restock breakfast items throughout the morning rush as needed
• Communicate prep levels and shortages to the supervisor or front counter team
• Follow portion control and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency
• Assist with light prep or grab-and-go packaging once breakfast prep is complete
