Requirements

  • State Food Handler Card (required)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and stooping
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (E‑Verify used)

Responsibilities

  • Review menus and prepare ingredients needed for breakfast service
  • Prepare and cook meals using standard recipes and production sheets to ensure quality, nutrition, and consistency
  • Follow dietary guidelines, food safety standards, and sanitation practices at all times
  • Meet time deadlines for tray line and cafeteria breakfast service
  • Utilize proper food presentation and garnishing techniques
  • Follow daily prep, pull, and production schedules
  • Safely store food by covering, labeling, and dating items properly
  • Load, run, and unload the dish machine; wash and properly store tableware and kitchenware
  • Monitor dish machine temperatures to ensure sanitary wash cycles
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean dishes, detergents, and cleaning supplies
  • Keep kitchen, dishroom, and equipment clean and sanitized
  • Bag and remove trash and cardboard at designated times
  • Report equipment repairs or maintenance needs to the supervisor
  • Assist with training new food service team members as needed
  • Follow uniform, safety, and workplace guidelines at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall kitchen operations
