About The Position

Responsible for operating all packaging equipment for production lines. Acts as the first point of contact for plant leadership, shift lead, and supervisor effectively communicating any potential issues and help maintain an orderly, sanitary and safe environment. This position is also responsible for interacting and maintaining positive relationships with all visitors and management in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak, write, and read English is a must. Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, climb stairs and ladders and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs
  • Self-motivated/self-driven.
  • Team player willing and able to collaborate well with team members.
  • 2-year manufacturing and production experience.
  • Must be able to communicate directions.
  • Must possess good communication and people skills.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently operate and changeover all packaging equipment on both lines. (Blowmold, Fillers, Sleevers, Palletizer, and Case Packers)
  • Relieve Blowmold, Filler, Sleever, Case Packer, and Palletizer for lunches and breaks.
  • Maintain factory OEE.
  • Fill out daily production logs, RedZone input, paperwork, as needed for proper documentation.
  • Performing general cleanup and maintenance of your work area.
  • Keep production area clean and organized
  • Assist in bringing materials to the floors (changeovers and/or current job)
  • Works with fellow operators as a team to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Effectively communicate issues and operations with Plant Leadership.
  • Assist Shift Lead and Supervisor as assigned.
  • Operate the plant in a safe & efficient manner.
  • Follow and monitor GMP, HACCP guidelines, Injury & Illness Prevention Program, Food Safety, LOTO & SOPs procedures.
  • Assists in providing safe working conditions for all employees and visitors.
  • Ensures product is within quality specifications and customer qualifications
  • Assist in meeting or exceeding production schedule
  • Must be able to efficiently start-up/shut down the production lines.
  • Utilize MVP1 to submit work requests as necessary
  • Chemical Handling: Knowledge of Titration or concentration testing for CIP Chemicals (Caustic)
  • Lockout/Tagout: Training for Safe Cleanings of Equipmen
  • Collaborate with QA to pull samples and verify product integrity.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to identify root causes of equipment failure.
  • 5S experience & Kaizen to reduce waste
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the plant management.
