About The Position

This position is responsible for making sure breading machines are full of flour by dumping 50 lbs. bags of flour into open hoppers that will properly dispense the flour or convey it to the proper location. Breader dumpers are responsible for keeping breading machines full of flour at all times. This is done by constantly monitoring the amount of flour in the open hoppers and adding as needed. The bags of flour that are dumped into the hoppers weigh 50 lbs each and at certain times, tubs of flour that have been reclaimed by the sifters can be reintroduced to the line also. In addition to keeping the machines full of flour, dumpers are also expected to take out the trash that is generated from the empty flour bags and to keep their immediate work area clean and all other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Willingness to work in a very cold environment.
  • Willingness to go up and down stairs.
  • Willingness to use scissors and knives to cut chicken.
  • Must be able to tolerate motion and work on a fast-moving processing line.
  • Willingness to work on a stand that is two (2) feet above floor level.
  • Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach.
  • Lifting is done in many areas (weight depends on area.)
  • These positions work in a cold, damp or hot, humid environment, and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces.
  • Willingness to walk up and down stairs as some departments are located on the lower level.
  • Willingness to stand on and work on a plat form that is about two feet above floor level.
  • Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 365-day waiting period before you can reapply.
  • Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
  • Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
