About The Position

Manages the Par Fry Department ensuring adherence to product standards, quality, and safety protocols, while also overseeing equipment, training staff, managing production schedules to meet yield and output goals. Responsible for maintaining safe and sanitary conditions, completing production reports, and fostering continuous improvement in processes and methods.

Requirements

  • Food Safety and Quality Assurance: Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, SSOPs) and the ability to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) or relevant software for production tracking and reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ability to identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • 2+ years poultry processing or meat supervisory experience in Par Fry or fully cooked.
  • Must have bread/batter experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise the production staff.
  • Responsible for the overall department production and operations.
  • Responsible for the safety of the employees and ensure food safety/security throughout.
  • Monitor breading and frying equipment, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work closely with quality assurance and maintenance in any changing of product specification or machinery change/repair.
  • Verify weekly payroll time sheets for all employees in the department.
  • Ensure that all product produced is of the highest level and standard of quality.
  • Comply with all written company safety and plant policies.
  • Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
  • Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
  • Identify and report any suspicious situations to the plant manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
