About The Position
Nugget Markets is seeking dedicated bakery enthusiasts to join their passionate and talented bakery team as a full-time Bread Mixer. This role involves learning to mix and create handcrafted artisan bread in large quantities. Shifts for this position start at 4:00am. Individual associate hourly rates are based on factors including experience, location, and length of employment. Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Possess basic math skills
- Physical ability to mix hundreds of pounds of dough and form into loaves
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Have intermediate product knowledge including knowledge of temperature, chemical reactions, and bakery products
- Basic understanding of the English language, which includes the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules and signage
- Have a passion for putting out a great product consistently
- A positive attitude is essential!
Responsibilities
- Mixing and preparing hundreds of hand-formed artisan breads each shift
- Prepping produce and deli products for bakery items
- Mixing and scaling ingredients
- Benching dough
- Loading carts and racks with product
- Lifting and stacking flour
- Operating all kitchen machinery including ovens, proofers, mixers and dough dividers
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary and attractive work environment
- Assisting the bakery clerks and providing world-class service to our guests as needed
