About The Position

The Junto is a modern-day embodiment of Ben Franklin and his club of the same name. His “club for mutual improvement” brought together people from all backgrounds to discuss issues and ideas of the time while enjoying life. With an emphasis on public gathering spaces, our hotel gives visitors, locals, entrepreneurs, and artists alike a place to come together, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. A host is organized, quick-thinking, and positive and has a knack for hitting curveballs out of the park. This is the kind of person who never met a stranger and who goes the extra mile to keep a friend smiling. A host takes and confirms reservations, seats guests, answers inquiries, and communicates efficiently and clearly with front of house staff and leadership to help ensure an exceptional dining experience.

Requirements

Prior experience in a restaurant highly preferred
Approachable and personable personality
Ability to be patient with guests' requests
REQUIRED: Weekend and evening availability

Responsibilities

Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner always adhering to service standards
Seat guests and monitor the seating charts ascertaining both guests’ and restaurants’ needs to maximize service flow
Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
Performs opening and closing duties, as needed
Maintain a neat, organized and crisp environment
