About The Position

The Junto is a modern-day embodiment of Ben Franklin and his club of the same name. His “club for mutual improvement” brought together people from all backgrounds to discuss issues and ideas of the time while enjoying life. With an emphasis on public gathering spaces, our hotel gives visitors, locals, entrepreneurs, and artists alike a place to come together, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. The Junto will be both a destination and a landmark of the area, helping to define and add value to the future of Columbus. A local stomping ground serving up the drinker’s choice. Brass Eye – an unpretentious rooftop bar, is the perfect outpost for your own shenanigans and assemblies. We always take cues from our guide and bible, The Drinker’s Dictionary, promising to provide guests with the perfect “brass eye” experience. Clever, energetic, dynamic and friendly. Seeking the silent hero: the individual who understands that behind every glass of cabernet or craft cocktail is the attention to detail that makes an experience truly memorable. Spotless glasses, fresh ingredients, and bottles at the ready don't happen by accident. A bar back efficiently stocks, cleans, and organizes the bar while communicating and working seamlessly with the bartenders.

Requirements

Prior experience highly preferred
A proactive and detailed demeanor

Responsibilities

Eyes are always on the critical 6: ice, juice, syrups/mixers, spirits, glassware, bar top cleanliness
Anticipate items to stock during shift - prior to running out
Understand bar equipment and how to troubleshoot problems during shift (Low CO2 in tap lines, dishwasher cycling, changing beer keys, etc.)
Maintain bar cleanliness from all angles - the bar top where guests are seated, the bar back where spirits, glassware, supplies are located, waste bins, and floors
Thorough knowledge of menu and beverage offerings and supporting knowledge of brand vision and standards of quality
