Requirements

  • Five Plus Years Beer/Spirits, Beverage and/or Supply Chain Industry Experience.
  • Two to Five Years Marketing and Portfolio Knowledge/Experience; Product Freshness/Rotation, Company Practices, TABC Regulations and DFWA, Ennis and Corpus Christi Geography.
  • Advanced Problem Solving, Analytical Thinking and Decision-Making Skills; Understanding of and the Ability to Work with Multiple Data Sets.
  • Strong Relationship Building, Communication and Collaboration Skills (Verbal and Written).
  • Ability to Collaborate and Influence At All Levels; Executive, Supplier and Team Member.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in MS Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Manages supplier recalls for retail and warehouse (Inventory/Operations).
  • Relays product issues with suppliers (package defects, off-tastes, dates, etc).
  • Creates and maintains quality related processes/ policies and corresponding documentation.
  • Works with Learning and Development team to create, launch and track annual quality training for all applicable departments.
  • Prepares Quarterly Scorecard reports, facilitates meetings, and communicates to each Hometown Sales VPs on OOD vs. Budget, Rotation Objectives, and Quality Specialist lines cleaned execution.
  • Maintains various quality audit records for our suppliers for each hometown.
  • Annual company training completions.
  • Basic draft test docs for Quality Specialist team QAM Training Certs.
  • Quality policy maintenance.
  • Move beer policy maintenance.
  • Tracks line draft line length by account and required recirc pumps needed.
  • Recirc pump usage.
  • Arrival temperatures.
  • Rotation objectives.
  • Quality audits by DSMs; Retail Execution Survey.
  • Required number of draft certifications per hometown.
  • Special event equipment cleaning records.
  • Pest control records.
  • Action item completions from prior audits.
  • Product Distribution; Draft accts per hometown.
  • Assists Suppliers with retail audits in all 6 hometowns; Constellation, NBB/Bells, MolsonCoors.
  • Manages internal audits, scheduling, scoring, reporting, execution and follow up meetings to correct opportunities.
  • Ensures alignment with PFG/EoStar; works with Brand and Pricing teams to ensure date information is correct.
  • Manages date extension approvals and record keeping.
  • Conducts close-dated Inventory reporting and meetings; works with Brand, Purchasing, Inventory, and Sales teams on fire-sale opportunities.
  • Tracks and reports on hot and frozen shipments; works with Inventory to isolate, report, perform testing, and pass/fail product.
  • Creates surveys to track compliance or product issues.
  • Redeploys account audits.
  • Reviews monthly actuals verses budgets for both internal and external OOD products via dashboard.
  • Works with the Quality Specialist Leads to ensure consistency across all hometowns and any reporting needs.
  • Stays abreast and researches quality assurance, TABC regulatory and distribution industry standards and practices.
  • Reviews Supplier contracts and conducts compliance audits based on contract terms.
  • Conducts Distribution Center audits; storage temperature, stacking requirements for product/pallets, rotation, thermometer locations/calibrations, required signage, quality hotline requests, etc.
  • Communicates areas of non-compliance to leadership teams.
  • Manages process and policy creation and maintenance; Move beer policies, Rotation Policies, Line cleaning Policy, Product quality freshness, Quality-related walkthroughs and best practices.
  • Reviews product exchange approvals; verifies team requests are compliant with code requirements.
  • Manages Wholesaler and Distributor TABC license and permit renewals.
  • Assists TABC Compliance Specialist with annual compliance reporting for each hometown.
  • Works with and collaborates with Brand and Sales teams on reporting analysis to provide key insights and determine action items.
  • Provides direction to Quality Assurance Analyst to produce various reports; Rotation Objective, Net 0 Invoice, Over 25 CE Credit, AM OOD Survey, Multi-swap, Reason Code Error, OOD Swap Entry, Out of Code Tracking in ShopBeer Solutions accounts, Product Exchange, etc.
  • Partners with Brand, Sales and Operations team on a variety of company projects; Cost of Quality for Expired Products, RAS, Hometown Health Check Scorecard Maintenance, Hometown KPI Maintenance, Survey Governance Board.
  • Collaborates during acquisitions by supporting and providing guidance for pre- and post-acquisition market cleanup and coordination.
  • Participates on the Distributor and Brand Acquisition project team to facilitate agreement from both parties ensuring fresh product at retail.
  • Develops and administers quality assurance/market processes to support acquisitions.
