About The Position

The Branch Teller I is responsible for processing deposits, issuing funds, and ensuring accuracy in all transactions in line with bank procedures. This position also includes handling customer account openings, identifying customer financial needs, and delivering excellent service. The Teller I ensures all daily operations are balanced and compliant with regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in typing and basic computer skills.
• Enjoys customer interaction and engaging with people.
• Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Demonstrates a drive for both personal and professional success.
• Exhibits confidence, enthusiasm, and trustworthiness in all customer interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Quick learner, able to apply training knowledge effectively.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process cash transactions quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail, identifying and correcting errors.
• Make responsible decisions in accordance with bank policies, laws, and regulations.
• Address and resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with customers, including making eye contact, active listening, and responding appropriately to needs.
• File signature cards and loan documentation accurately.
• Assist customers with ordering checks and reordering debit cards and PINs.
• Ensure lobby area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary materials, deposit slips, withdrawal tickets, etc.
• Answer phone inquiries, assisting customers or taking messages as needed.
• Process wire transfer information.
• Refer customers to other bank services when appropriate.
