Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Branch Supervisor. The primary function of this role is to ensure the delivery of an exceptional member experience while maintaining the operational integrity of the branch. The Branch Supervisor will foster employee development through training and coaching to inspire actions that increase engagement and productivity, ultimately meeting branch and organizational goals. The role involves supervising day-to-day branch activities, modeling high-level member service, processing transactions, and resolving member issues. It also encompasses ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, providing guidance and training to branch employees to resolve operational issues, exceptions, and adjustments. The supervisor is responsible for all aspects of branch operations, including the completion of branch audits, security checks, and regulatory compliance to effectively manage risk. They are expected to set clear expectations to deliver high-quality service leveraging the HVCU Sales & Service model to promote the Credit Union’s products and services and support branch profitability. This includes looking for opportunities to enhance revenue, reduce expenses, create efficient processes, and improve operations, as well as submitting annual budget recommendations to the Branch Manager. The role also involves coaching staff to expand the use of alternative digital delivery systems by explaining the merits of other systems such as Online Banking, Bill Pay, and Contact Center. The supervisor must adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements, participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA), and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participation on Credit Union teams, projects, and strategic initiatives is expected when opportunities arise, along with performing additional duties and special projects as assigned. The supervisor is expected to embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities, including the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices, demonstrating teamwork and professionalism. Regular and predictable attendance, including punctuality, is a key responsibility.
